DIVING TRUK LAGOON

Rob McGann

Originally born in Maine, Rob is now based in Truk Lagoon with the Truk Lagoon Dive Center. He's an avid Cave and technical diver who's been diving since he was 12 years old. In 2004 he started working at Cave Excursions in N Florida, mixing gas during the day and cave diving after work. After a couple of years he was lured away to the Bahamas where he discovered warm waters, deep walls and Bahamian coconut rum! Since then he has worked around the Caribbean, Maldives and eventually reached Truk in December 2009.

Rob is a PADI and TDI Instructor and Trimix gas blender who enjoys showing guests the deeper side of Truk Lagoon!

Cindy Hall

Cindy learned to dive in the Maldives nearly 20 years ago, and over the following years took countless diving vacations to many of the best locations in the world. In 2006 she left the UK to work in the Dive Industry.

Before arriving in Truk Lagoon in 2009 she worked in the Caribbean (Bahamas, Grenada, St Vincent and Turks & Caicos), and Maldives.

She’s the Dive Center Business Manager, and makes all of the bookings and reservations, but prefers to be in the water dive guiding or teaching.

Cindy has many favorite wrecks; but especially likes diving on the outer reef where she can see silvertip sharks!

Wilden learned to dive in November 2010 and has already made more than 500 dives in the lagoon. Born and raised in Guam, with Chuukese parents, he enjoys living and working in Truk Lagoon surrounded by his extended family!

Wilden’s favorite wreck is the Hoki Maru – he loves not just to see all of the intact trucks invside the aft hold, but also the happy smiles of his divers when they see them for the first time!
